Simply, it’s about what we’ve seen and where we think they’re going.
Over the next three years, this list will grow and evolve, as players boost their worth to not only their own high schools, but the colleges they may end up calling home. For now, those, they’ve given us every reason to believe what we’ve seen so far is only the beginning.
Jayden Fuller Jayden Fuller 5'11" | 225 lbs | LB Silver Bluff | 2024 State SC , LB, Aiken
Fuller didn’t exactly have a lot of time to impress last fall, so it’s safe to say he really made his limited action count. In just four games, the 5-foot-11, 210-pounder went for 41 total tackles, forced a fumble and had 11 tackles for loss. He’s a middle linebacker by nature, but he pursues well enough sideline-to-sideline to maximize his range.
Braylen Kitty Braylen Kitty 6'4" | 240 lbs | TE Hilton Head | 2024 State SC , OL, Hilton Head (Pictured)
While it’s easy to start with Kitty’s 6-foot-5, 260-pound frame (we get it), what we’re more impressed with is his ability to play in a multiple offense and never miss a step. Kitty played three games as a freshman – part of the reason coach B.J. Payne referred to him as a “secret weapon.” Now, the secret’s definitely out.
Davian Brown Davian Brown 5'7" | 190 lbs | RB Fort Dorchester | 2024 State SC , RB, First Baptist
At this rate, Brown is going to attack some gaudy stat lines before it’s all said and done. Yes, some of that has to do with playing SCISA and playing as an eighth grader (when he rushed for 943 yards in 10 games). But he’s got eight 100-yards games to his resume before his sophomore season even begins. The trajectory isn’t hard to predict.
Jayden Bradford Jayden Bradford 6'1" | 170 lbs | DB Osceola | 2023 FL , QB, Chapin
Bradford has put together some nifty film already, and you’d expect it from a player who had the type of freshman season he did. The 6-foot-1, 185-pound quarterback threw for 916 yards and seven touchdowns while rushing for another 122 and three more scores. And much of that came despite splitting time for the first half of the 2020 season.
