Alabama Evals: Class 2A Region 7 Top Players

Region 7 in Class 2A is home to Falkville, Ider, North Sand Mountain, Pisgah, Section, Tanner, and Whitesburg Christian Academy.
The top players in this region could be some of the best talent on the 2A gridiron in 2021.
<strong>Caden Burnett </strong>| 6-2 QB, WR, FS | Falkville
Burnett has the chance to be a flashy player during his final two seasons of high school. At the quarterback position, he possesses great arm strength and makes all the right reads during the play. But at wide receiver, Burnett has great hands to catch any pass thrown his way. He wins the 50/50 battle with top notch defenders and is quick to avoid tackles after the catch.
<strong>Derek Bearden</strong> | 6-3 WR, OLB | North Sand Mountain
Bearden is a sensational wideout with great hands and quick speed. He can get separation at the line of scrimmage to force himself open and get an easy catch. He excels at fighting for extra yards after first contact. When he gets open, Bearden is a shifty receiver that can be in the endzone in seconds.
<strong>Nyle Poore </strong>| QB | North Sand Mountain
Poore is set to take over in the 2021 season as North Sand Mountain's starting quarterback. He possesses great arm strength and remains poised in the pocket, even under pressure.
He knows when to change the play at the line of scrimmage and has a quick release on the ball.
<strong>Jakeem Fletcher </strong>| 6-3 DT, NG | Tanner
Fletcher is a great, big player that can is a force of nature. He can get off the line of scrimmage quick and force pressure in the backfield.
Fletcher is a rop notch defensive tackle that possesses all the right skills to succeed at the college level.
<strong>Jerrick Thompson </strong>| 5-7 RB | Tanner
Thompson is a shifty running back that has a great north-south running ability to his game. He can shake off defenders to gain extra yards and has a quick burst of speed down the sideline.
Entering the 2021 season, Thompson could be poised for a breakout year.
<strong>Jordan Harper </strong>| 5-10 QB | Whitesburg Christian Academy
Harper may not be the best quarterback in Region 7, but the incoming senior has a lot of upside to his game. He excels with great arm strength and can throw a deep pass at any time during the game. He can also hurt a defense with his legs when under pressure.
<strong>Colton Dean </strong>| 5-9 WR, CB | Section HS
Dean is an outstanding receiver that has great hands and quick speed on the outside.
The incoming senior excels at getting past defenders and making clean catches. After the catch, Dean can make defenders miss and gain extra yards. In the deep threat, Dean can move past defenders mid route and get open down the sideline or over the middle.
