Now that the spring’s regular season has officially reached the halfway mark, it is time to take a look at the leading passers in 11-man football. Each one of these quarterbacks has worked hard to claim their place in the spotlight by putting on a show every time they step onto the field. The majority of the quarterbacks on this list are capable of wreaking havoc with their arms, as well as their legs. Regardless of whether they are considered dual-threats or pocket-passers, there is no doubt that they are talented athletes. Here is a quick rundown of ten of the top passers through the first half of the season. Collin Reetz | Estes Park | 6’4”, 165lbs | 2022 | QBR 93.4 Throughout the first three games of the season, Reetz has been airing it out more than any other quarterback playing in the spring. He has completed 88 of his 149 attempts for 1,227 yards and 11 touchdowns. Reetz has also carried the ball a total of eight times for 14 yards and two rushing touchdowns. Caleb Kruse | Sand Creek | 6’3”, 185lbs | 2022 | QBR 104.4 Through the first three games of the season, Kruse has completed 42 of his 78 passing attempts for a total of 638 yards and 10 touchdowns. Andrew Seest | Fort Collins | 6’1”, 190lbs | 2022 | QBR 132 Seest has shown vast improvement during this season. He has completed 40 of his 55 passing attempts for 593 total yards and 11 touchdowns. He also has nine carries for 32 yards and one touchdown. [player_tooltip player_id="22786" first="Isaiah" last="Eliot"] | The Academy | 5’10”, 170lbs | 2023 | QBR 126.5 Eliot has completed 44 of his 60 passing attempts for 551 yards and seven touchdowns. In addition to his passing abilities, he is also a very dangerous runner. He has carried the ball 50 times for a total of 316 yards and three touchdowns. Julian Buerk | Denver South | 6’2”, 190lbs | 2021 | QBR 88.3 Buerk has been lighting it up over the course of his first three games. He has completed 33 of his 60 passing attempts for a total of 502 yards and six touchdowns. The dual-threat quarterback also has a total of 87 rushing yards on 16 carries with two touchdowns. Alvin Rodriguez | Boulder | 6’0”, 205lbs | 2021 | QBR 98.9 Rodriguez has completed 32 of his 51 passing attempts for 425 yards and four touchdowns. What stands out the most about his performances during his team’s two games is that they happened in a short week, Monday then a four-day turnaround for Friday night. Jacob Dube | Flatirons Academy | 5’10”, 170lbs | 2021 | QBR 107.3 So far, Dube has had a pretty electrifying season. He has completed 23 of his 42 passing attempts for 402 yards and 10 touchdowns. Dube has also rushed 42 times for a total of 186 yards and three touchdowns. Matty Gillis | Basalt | 6’2”, 215lbs | 2021 | QBR 108.3 Gillis has produced a pretty impressive statline through the first three games of the season. He has completed 23 of his 41 passing attempts for 296 yards and six touchdowns. As a rusher, he has a total of 130 yards on 22 carries with two touchdowns. Victor Owens | Vista PEAK | 5’10”, 195lbs | 2021 | QBR 154.4 Owens has been an extremely reliable quarterback this season. He has completed eight of his 11 attempts for 165 yards and two touchdowns. Owens has not needed to throw too much in the first half of the season, but he has been on target when given the opportunity. Austin Lindegren | Thomas Jefferson | 5’10”, 165lbs | 2022 | QBR 109 Lindergren’s performance throughout this season has been quite consistent so far. He has completed 12 of his 18 passing attempts for 162 yards and two touchdowns. He has also rushed 16 times for 212 yards and three touchdowns.
