Elijah Kelsey, RB/DB, 6’0″ 180lbs, Moreno Valley HS
Kelsey is a talented all around athlete with big position versatility. As a sophomore, he ran for 1,701 yards and 21 TD’s, while adding 62 tackles and 7 INT’s as a CB on defense. At RB, he shows solid vision as hits the hole with a purpose. He displays solid physicality and balance at the point of contact and is a definite big play threat. Good lateral bounce to explode out of cuts and top end speed to finish off big runs. He can catch the ball out of the backfield and is a willing blocker as well and is a true all-purpose back. At CB, he tracks the hips well and shows solid ball skills in man or zone coverage. A forsure ball hawk, and is strong at the POA for a CB while being a very effective tackler.
Jesse Carmona, QB, 6’0″ 170lbs, Ganesha HS
Carmona is a flat out playmaker and one of the most exciting dual-threat QB’s to watch in Socal. He popped off his sophomore season by throwing for 1,809 yards and 18 TD’s, while rushing for 1,805 yards and 25 TD’s. He shows a solid pre-snap read and delivers throws with excellent placement. Strong ability to use touch and hit receivers in stride. He’s flashed the ability to deliver accurate, off-platform throws as well. Excellent reads on read-option with a nice initial burst. He accelerates through open lanes and is a burner in the second level for big play ability. He does a very impressive job extending plays, as he can find receivers downfield to result in six, or take off and turn a sack into a TD.
Cade Moran, LB, 6’2″ 230lbs, Murrieta Mesa HS
Moran racked up 105 tackles in 11 games played as a sophomore at the MLB in primarily a 4-3 defense. He displayed excellent play recognition and filled developing alleys very well. He did a tremendous job meeting ball carriers at or behind the LOS. Solid instincts and is strong at the POA, as he was a solid one on one tackler as well. He does a good job shedding blocks quickly to put himself in position to make plays. In coverage, he seems to have an understanding of zone responsibilities and did a good job picking up shallow crossing routes.
Eddie Allain, RB, 5’10” 180lbs, Norte Vista HS
Allain ran wild as a sophomore with 1,984 yards rushing and 32 TD’s, clearly making himself a massive threat. He shows a nice burst through the hole and turns on the jets in the second level, showing solid top end speed to finish off big runs. He has a good eye for small developing holes and is slippery and elusive in tight spaces. Allain displays a nice lateral bounce to make defenders miss or exploding laterally out of a cut. Despite his size a frame, he did his best work between the tackles, as he busted numerous long runs up the middle.
Carson Hollandsworth, ATH, 5’10” 180lbs, South HS (Torrance)
Hollandsworth holds solid potion versatility and is a solid all-around athlete. At RB, he displays a quick initial burst with solid change of direction and broke some big runs, flashing a glimpse of his big play ability. As a DB, he was a legit ball hawk during his sophomore year. He reads the QB’s eyes well and identifies developing routes and concepts. He showed good ball skills and made a handful of clutch INT’s for South. He can improve as a tackler overall, but is a solid coverage DB.
