Pass rushing is an art.
The art and having the ability to bend and have the athletic ability to bend and and get by the opposing offensive lineman and gain ground quickly and effectively to put pressure on the opposing quarterback can make a huge difference in a game.
The ability to rush the quarterback on a consistent basis provides a defense the an added boost to which the pass rush can generate and allows the defensive secondary to be in position to make key plays with the defensive line making the quarterback rush through his progressions.
Plain and simple, you can NEVER have to many quality pass rushers on the defensive line and college programs are always on the lookout for defensive lineman who can rush the quarterback.
