Class of 2022 Rankings: Offensive Newcomers

These class of 2022’s should make a big splash for their senior seasons and were just added into our rankings database within this offseason and should see colleges start to get onto their radars.   Nakyin Harrell Nakyin Harrell 6'0" | 140 lbs | WR Huntington | 2022 State WV Huntington High School 2022 WR As I’ve said in a previous article about Nakyin he had a great junior season. He plays much bigger than what he currently is listed at and shows the ability to take the top off of the defense as a deep threat receiver. He shows great tracking skills when locating the ball in the air and shows the ability to use his speed to outrun defensive backs and make a play on the ball. Look for Nakyin to get more touches in his senior season and have colleges start noticing.   Haydan Nelson Haydan Nelson 5'11" | 265 lbs | OL Bluefield | 2022 State WV Bluefield High School 2022 OL Going off Haydan and his sophomore season film due to his junior season and COVID-19 he showed great potential. He showed the ability to move his feet and showed the ability to finish blocks as well in the run game. He showed great footwork on his pass protection and the strength and quickness to handle most defensive lineman within the state using his footwork. Look for Haydan to have a big senior season with not playing last year and have colleges on his radar.   Nolan Shimp Nolan Shimp 6'0" | 190 lbs | WR Lincoln County | 2022 State WV Lincoln County High School 2022 WR Nolan showed great potential at both receiver and running back in his junior season. He showed the ability to run through tackles and fight for extra yards before getting tackled. He showed good vision when running with the ball and showed multiple touchdowns where the play was pretty much broken or a small window to make something out of the play. Look for Nolan to get more touches his senior season pairing with Isaiah Smith Isaiah Smith 5'8" | 185 lbs | RB Lincoln County | 2022 State WV who is next on our list.   Isaiah Smith Isaiah Smith 5'8" | 185 lbs | RB Lincoln County | 2022 State WV Lincoln County High School 2022 RB Isaiah had a great junior season for Lincoln County. He showed the ability to score from anywhere on the field and showed great homerun ability. He has great vision and the ability to run through tackles and make defenders miss as well. He showed good speed and agility with solid explosiveness and showed he could turn a dead play into a touchdown by himself with his ability to score from anywhere on the field. Look for Isaiah to have a big senior season and have colleges start pouring in for him.   Caysen Lanza Caysen Lanza 6'5" | 200 lbs | TE Jefferson | 2022 State WV Jefferson High School 2022 WR/TE Caysen showed great potential in his junior season. He showed the ability to run solid routes and used his big frame to his advantage. He showed great balance and the ability to come down with most contested catches. He shows good speed and agility for being a bigger receiver and should look to see more touches his senior season with having a good junior season under his belt.
