We have 27 defensive backs ranked, but it is a deep class as the top 10 are all inside the Top 50.

Here is a quick look at the Top 10. At the 1 spot is [player_tooltip player_id="27730" first="Rahmir" last="Stewart"]. Even though his team didn’t play this season, he stayed to be the number 1 overall player in the class. He has the size, instincts, and speed to be a great safety at the next level. At the 2 spot is [player_tooltip player_id="27733" first="Ta’Mere" last="Robinson"]. He impressed enough this season to move up one spot in our DB rankings. At the 3 spot is [player_tooltip player_id="27731" first="Shawn" last="Battle"]. Shawn is another highly recruited player, but because he only played two games this season didn’t really see how much he really improved from the 2019 season. At the 4 spot is [player_tooltip player_id="27735" first="Rodney" last="Gallagher"]. Rodney is an athletic kid. He plays WR and took over QB halfway through the season. He does show some stiffness in the hips. He’s gotten a couple of Power 5 basketball offers but hasn’t gotten football offers since last spring. At the 5 spot is [player_tooltip player_id="66045" first="Donovan" last="Walker"]. Donovan has a lot of upside to him and should be a Power 5 recruit. At the 6 spot is [player_tooltip player_id="91825" first="Drevon" last="Miller-Ross"]. He is a good wrap up tackler, had 64 tackles on the season. Right now, believe he is a group of 5 player. At the 7 spot is [player_tooltip player_id="91701" first="Ezeekai" last="Thomas"]. Ezeekai shows quickness with good speed and closing burst. A lot of his plays are at QB but shows he can be a good safety at the next level with 2 more years to develop. At the 8 spot is [player_tooltip player_id="66049" first="Rakiem" last="Mills"]. Rakiem did drop a couple of spots in the DB rankings. He has very limited film from this year. He shows a smooth backpedal but plays high. He is a good tackler. He should be an FBS player as he continues to develop. At the 9 spot is [player_tooltip player_id="64015" first="Jahmil" last="Perryman"]. Jahmil is an undersized safety right now but believes to be an FBS player as he continues to grow and develop. Lastly, the 10 spot is [player_tooltip player_id="64024" first="Nodin" last="Tracy"]. Nodin is a physical kid who is a good tackler. He does lack overall top-end speed. He is to be believed a Group of 5 player.
[player_tooltip player_id="64025" first="Jerome" last="Mullins"] just missed the cut of being inside the Top 10, but he is still inside the Top 50 ranked 41st overall. Jerome was our WPIAL Class 1A Defensive Player of the Year. He’s got the size and physicality you want in a cornerback. He will be an impact player for his team these next 2 years as he had 37 total tackles and 26 solo this season. Believe he will be an FBS player as he continues to develop.
[player_tooltip player_id="97969" first="Alexie" last="Sangster Jr"] has good size and speed. He shows physicality and is a good tackler. He does have a slow transition coming out of his break. He shows good ball skills. He takes good pursuit angles. Alexie is a good player and as he continues to grow and develop believe he will be an FBS safety.
