The 2022 player rankings were recently updated and the next group of players up for review are the Running Backs. The players listed are amongst the best in their class:
<strong>State Rank: 9 – POS[Rank] #1. [player_tooltip player_id="28635" first="Omarion" last="Hampton"], 6’0” 215, Cleveland HS. </strong> An explosive runner who finds openings and outruns the defenders. A combination of power and speed. Strong accelerating straight-line speed in the open field. Big production numbers are expected during the upcoming season.
<strong>State Rank: 27 – POS[Rank] #2. [player_tooltip player_id="28648" first="Na’heim" last="Lilly"], 5’10” 185, Eastern Randolph HS.</strong> Quick, slashing-style running back who finds openings to gain big yardage. Displays good speed in the open field and covers a lot of ground quickly. The expectations are high as he prepares for the upcoming season.
<strong>State Rank: 46 – POS[Rank] #3. [player_tooltip player_id="28664" first="Kyle" last="Parsons"]. 6’0” 190, Weddington HS. </strong>Strong straight-line runner who accelerates in the open field. Displays good hands on the short-pass routes. He is difficult to bring down once contact is made. His high level of play is expected to continue during the upcoming season.
<strong>State Ranks: 56 – POS[Rank] #4. [player_tooltip player_id="28671" first="Jamar" last="Price"], 6’2” 205, Providence HS.</strong> Shifty runner who is difficult to stop once he is running at full speed. He accelerates quickly to run past defenders in the open field. The expectations are high for the upcoming season.
<strong>State Rank: 67 – POS[Rank] #5. [player_tooltip player_id="106709" first="Jordan" last="McInnis"], 5’9” 185, Northern Guilford HS.</strong> He waits for the play to develop, then he finds the opening to gain yardage. Displays good hands on the short passing plays. He is expected to continue to improve his skills during the upcoming season.
<strong>State Rank: 69 – POS[Rank] #6. [player_tooltip player_id="106725" first="Sabin" last="McLaughlin"], 5’11” 180, Hickory Ridge HS.</strong> Strong straight-line runner who runs past defenders with a burst of speed. Displays good balance and does not go down after initial contact is made. He is expected to continue to improve his skills during the upcoming season.
