It’s Florida vs. Georgia On Sunday

There has always been a rivalry between Florida and Georgia when it comes to football. Bragging rights have always been at stake – whether the two states get together on the football field in youth football, high school or college. Natural rivalry between two states that border one another and always produce top-flight talent. On Sunday at 4 p.m. at Traz Powell Stadium in Miami, this rivalry, which began decades ago, will once again be in the spotlight – as some of the best high school seniors in both states will square off – with bragging rights at stake. As the two teams practiced the last few days in preparation for this game – a great time was had by all. “It was out intention to bring this game back the way it used to be,” said Faheem Ali from Team Florida. “There have been many attempts to bring this game back, but it was never with the intention of playing on a successful past that watched some of the elite prospects from both states take part in this game when it was born over 30 years ago. When this game was born, elite prospects who signed with some of the top colleges in the country took part. This year as Kenyatta Watson from Team Georgia said: “will once again feature elite prospects from all over.” COLLEGES WELL REPRESENTED The game will have players from such schools as Georgia Tech, Miami, North Carolina State, Texas A&M, USF, UCF, Arkansas, Ball State, Middle Tennessee State, Kansas State, Illinois, Southwest Missouri State, UMass, Robert Morris, Indiana, Boston College, Duke, Minnesota, Nebraska, Central Michigan, Kansas, Memphis, Louisville, University of Pikeville, Vanderbilt, Tennessee, Georgia State, Gardner Webb, Liberty, Oklahoma, FSU, South Alabama, Holy Cross and FIU. “This is a game that should be played every year – and even tough you have some of those larger national games taking place, kids can still play in both – and make this an event like it was when it started,” Watson pointed out.” In addition, this game has attracted so many athletes who competed in this contest in the past – to talk about how much of an honor it is to take part.
