When it comes to evaluating talent in the state of Florida, it really doesn't matter what class you are looking at, the talent level is always amazing.

As the 2027 (rising seniors) class is certainly in the spotlight as college coaches are visiting schools across the state, the 2028 (rising juniors) and 2029 (rising sophomores) are also getting plenty of attention this winter.

While high school coaches are still pushing seniors (2026), who haven't found a home yet, they are still looking into the future with some of the younger players, who are years away from graduating.

As we continue to bring you players from all over the Sunshine State, today we give you some 2029 players to keep an eye on and use for reference when you are following all the talent that we have the pleasure of churning out each year.

Amari Akolade, OL/DL, 5'10, 256, Leesburg First Academy – 4.0 GPA. This two-way standout showcased his skills this past season as a freshman, competing in 10 games and played center and guard on the offensive side of the ball – and lined up at defensive tackles as well. This is a true student/athlete who got his high school career off to a solid start and embraced the winter and spring.

Aiden Alexander, QB, 6'2, 175, Tampa Jesuit. Baseball. No sooner did [player_tooltip player_id='1206219' first='Will' last='Griffin'] depart for the University of Florida, this impressive two-sport athlete started to emerge and showcase some impressive skills that had everyone talking. Watch him play and see some amazing skills right away. His ability to throw the ball with accuracy, displaying a strong arm (baseball prospect) along with a gift of being able to move the chains with his legs makes this a young man to keep a close eye on as this program looks to have struck gold at the position – again!

Owen Battles, DE/TE, 6'3, 215, Lakeland. When you see young talent like this and watch the way he plays, you can only shake your head at how many elite freshmen there were this past season. When you see him perform, the first thing you notice is how mature he is and how quickly that he comes off the ball. This is someone that everyone will be watching as he figures to be a mainstay for the Dreadnaughts for years to come. His ability to be a run stopper looks like it comes natural. Add in his knack of getting to the quarterback and creating pressure is only going to be enhanced as he continues to grow and mature.

Omarion Brooks, DB, 5'10, 150, Wellington – 3.7 GPA. How about a freshman season that saw this impressive talent finish with 36 solo tackles (11 assisted), two interceptions, 13 pass break ups and an interception. This is truly a versatile defensive secondary performer that is already receiving interest from Power 4 schools across the country. Yet another Palm Beach County football prospect that is making an impression.

Jameson Quintana, CB/Athlete, 5'10, 155, Gulf Breeze – 3.0 GPA. Earlier this week, we brought you the entire look at this program which is going through a rebuilding off-season. While there were a number of veteran players who are looking to grab a lead role, there are younger players like this who is coming off his first season in high school. You can tell that there is plenty of athletic ability when watching him perform. But like so many prospects on this team, maturity, more playing time against top competition and weight training will certainly be part of the entire process. Players like this understand that if they are going to reach their potential, they need to put in the work.

Michael Williams Jr., DL, 6'2, 280, Miami Carol City – 3.5 GPA. As this program continues to build back to where the Chiefs have been over the years, players like this will be essential in their growth. He is athletic, skilled and continues to mature. Watching him play a number of times, this is certainly someone you are going to need to keep an eye on. His motor never stops and plays to the whistle. If he stays healthy and continues to get stronger, this is a gifted prospects who will be a problem for the opposition.

[player_tooltip player_id='2091658' first='Andy' last='Westry'], DE/LS, 6'1, 230, Auburndale – 3.5 GPA. As this program continues to build and add prospects like this, you will see the Bloodhounds be one of those teams that will close the gap. Making his way over from Lakeland's Victory Christian, this is truly a raw product, but one that has the potential to be special. This off-season could be special as he will join his new teammates and compete in several events. As he matures and gets bigger and stronger, it will be fun to watch how much he improves in a short period of time.
