1. Walter Quick (2021) | Morris Catholic
2020: 61 catches, 867 yards, 8 touchdowns
Morris Catholic had the state’s leading passer in Dean Denobile. He was able to take advantage of the incredible receivers he had all over the field. Quick put up a monster season during his final one at Morris Catholic. He led the state in receiving yards and was a threat on every play.
2. Anthony Bilotta (2021) | Cedar Grove
2020: 55 catches, 853 yards, 12 touchdowns
Bilotta was the state’s leader in receiving touchdowns with 12. He was a huge red zone threat but could also use his speed to get past defenders for deep plays at any given time. Bilotta showed his ability to be a strong route runner and make plays for his quarterback on the outside.
3. Clay Morris (2021) | Montclair Kimberley
2020: 43 catches, 744 yards, 10 touchdowns
Morris was a huge part of Montclair Kimberley’s offense from the season-opener. He was one of two players with double-digit receiving touchdowns. Morris displayed some of the strongest hands in the state and this helped make big plays at big times throughout a game.
4. Zach Thomas (2022) | Morris Catholic
2020: 50 catches, 700 yards, 6 touchdowns
Thomas was one of Denobile’s favorite targets this season. Morris Catholic will get both Denobile and Thomas back for one more year in 2021. It would be surprising if Thomas did not climb up this list even further next season given his explosiveness on the field.
5. Anthony Johnson (2022) | Burlington Township
2020: 23 catches, 675 yards, 8 touchdowns
Johnson was one of the top deep-ball threats in the state. He was able to rack up big yardage and eight scores on just 23 catches. Johnson knew how to use his speed to get to the second level and find the openings in the defense.
