1. Jahqir Haley (2022) | St. Joe’s (Hamm.)- 10 interceptions
Not only did Haley lead the state in interceptions this season, but he was one of the leaders in the nation. Haley is an elite player on the defensive end because of his speed and anticipation. He was able to use his reliable hands to come away with interceptions at an extremely high rate. Haley will enter the 2021 season as one of the top prospects in New Jersey.
T2. Yah-Sin Calhoun (2022) | Freehold Boro- 6 interceptions
Freehold Boro was full of two-way players this season and Calhoun might have been the best of the bunch. His work as a wide receiver transferred to the defensive side of the ball. Calhoun ran routes better than many opposing receivers and this led to picks.
T2. Khan-Yae Stevens (2022) | North Plainfield- 6 interceptions
When watching North Plainfield, they had speed all over the field. Stevens is a special player on both sides of the ball. He highlighted six interceptions with a pick six against Spotswood. Stevens has great closing speed and is difficult to catch in the open field.
T2. Al-Jay Henderson (2021) | Irvington- 6 interceptions
Henderson is the definition of a physical player on both sides of the ball. He is not afraid to square off with another team’s best receiver. This is what led to six interceptions during his final season.
T2. Andrew Weber (2021) | Jefferson- 6 interceptions
Weber was a ballhawk during his senior year. Whether it was making a tackle or a big play on the ball, Weber was always in the right place at the right time.

Jordan Carey (2022) | Woodstown- 5 interceptions
Aden Tomeo (2021) | Audubon- 5 interceptions
Sharrod Tedder (2022) | Bound Brook- 5 interceptions
