Jacob Cisneros Jacob Cisneros 5'10" | 195 lbs | RB Boulder Creek | 2021 State AZ , Boulder Creek HS (C/O 2021)
Cisneros has rushed for 752 yards and 9 TD’s, while adding 388 receiving yards with 6 TD’s, and 405 yards as a kick returner. He has rushed for over 100 yards in every game, and has also scored a TD in every game. With 16 total TD’s, Cisneros is possibly the biggest offensive threat in the state, as he has proved to be the most versatile player on the field every week. He is game planned for every week by defenses, and still busts loose every week. Cisneros shows a good burst through the hole, and shows good speed separation in the second level for big play ability. Cisneros can be shifty in open space, or become a physical runner. He is the definition of an all-purpose back. He is a threat in the pass game as he runs crisp routes in the backfield or split out, and is a complete mismatch against a manned up linebacker. Cisneros is going off, and is definitely a top vote for player of the year.
Hunter Ogle, Santa Cruz Valley HS (C/O 2021)
Ogle has been a big surprise this season, as he is 1st in the state in all divisions with 977 rushing yards and 15 TD’s. In a non COVID season, Ogle would be on pace for a 2,000 yard season. Ogle shows a good ability to stretch the edge and often reads his blocks well to cut off them for big plays. He has good speed and is a breakaway runner in open field. Ogle is a physical runner as well, as he doesn’t shy away from contact and utilizes a mean stiff arm effectively. Ogle shows a good burst when he cuts upfield, and keeps a good pad level to run through or bounce off tackles. He is a major factor for SCVHS success thus far, and should continue to keep the momentum going throughout the year.
Max Davis Max Davis 5'11" | 190 lbs | RB Highland | 2021 State AZ , Highland (C/O 2021)
Davis has rushed for 826 yards and 13 TD’s, while adding another 123 yards receiving with 2 TD’s. Davis’s 15 TD season thus far has added a major dimension to the Highland offense. He shows very good vision, and is very explosive through the hole or around the edge. Davis has good speed in open space and shows a good speed separation from trailing DB’s. His athleticism is something to take notice of, as he has hurdled over defenders in open space without losing ball security or balance. Davis shows a solid stutter-go movement and can make people miss frequently. He plays with a high motor and is an electric back to watch. Davis will have some tough upcoming matchups, as he faces off against Hamilton and Chandler the next two weeks.
Eli Sanders Eli Sanders 6'1" | 190 lbs | RB Chandler | 2021 State AZ , Chandler HS (C/O 2021)
Sanders has rushed for 662 yards and 11 TD’s, on a loaded Chandler offense. However, Chandler has blown nearly everyone out so bad that it is rare for Sanders and other starters to play 4 quarters. Sanders is a complete back, with the strong ability to make big plays like he did against Pinnacle when he took a 95 yard rush to the house. He is fast, shifty, strong, and a completely put together back that can fit in any collegiate offense. At 6’0″ 190 lbs, Sanders shows a solid athletic frame and is your every down type back. He has a strong football IQ which will be crucial when he makes the transition to the next level. He is committed to Boise State, yet received an offer from Iowa State about a month ago. Sanders is a power 5 talent, and it will be very interesting to see how this plays out going forward.
Zion Burns Zion Burns 6'0" | 185 lbs | RB Poston Butte | 2021 State AZ , Poston Butte HS (C/O 2021)
Burns is a natural playmaker, as he has rushed for 843 yards and 12 TD’s on just 58 carries. Burns has very good speed and is very explosive through the hole. He can stop and cut on a dime giving him excellent lateral mobility. Burns is definitely one of the fastest players in 4A, as his speed is a major weapon of his game. He continues to have breakaway runs and the speed separation is exceptional. Burns has a lean build at 6’0″, 180lbs and has shown the ability to bounce off tackles and slip through narrow holes and lanes. He is committed to Nevada and looks to play DB there, but is certainly not going unnoticed as a RB. Therefore, he could be a very interesting guy to follow the next few months.
