It was a Shore Conference showdown Friday night when No. 6 Rumson Fair-Haven traveled to take on Red Bank Catholic. The Caseys were able to defend home field with a 21-14 victory. Here are the top performers from the game.
<strong>John Volker (2021) | Rumson-Fair Haven</strong>
Volker began the game with a 56-yard touchdown run on Rumson's first play from scrimmage. He carried the offense by rushing 26 times for 163 yards and a touchdown. The Princeton commit has all the tools to continue to dominate at the next level.
<strong>Anthony Borriello (2021) | Red Bank Catholic</strong>
Borriello is the quarterback of the Caseys but did some great work on the ground. He finished with 98 yards through the air and a rushing touchdown. Red Bank Catholic showed great trust in their senior leader by keeping the ball in his hands during the most crucial points in the game.
<strong>Ryan McKay (2022) | Rumson-Fair Haven</strong>
McKay was a ball hawk in this one. He finished with seven tackles and showed great strength and speed sideline to sideline. McKay is a reliable tackler who does not miss often.
<strong>Robert Stolfa (2023) | Red Bank Catholic</strong>
Stolfa was used in many ways for the Caseys' offense. He led the team with five receptions and was their kick returner. Stolfa also scored the first touchdown of the game for Red Bank Catholic on a jet sweep. He is a valuable weapn within the offense.
<strong>Tommy Swain (2021) | Rumson-Fair Haven</strong>
Swain, along with McKay, is a leader of the defense. He finished with six tackles and a forced fumble in this one. He is the quarterback of the defense and knows how to lead from the middle of the field.
<strong>Najih Rahman (2023) | Red Bank Catholic</strong>
Rahman made a great impression in this one. The sophomore finished with a one-handed interception that belongs on the highlight reel. He finished it off in the end zone after a nice run to the pylon.
