Every Friday, we’ll take a look at three of the best players in the state of Oklahoma. This is our third Player Of The Year Watchlist post. We’ll take a look at three game changers that are well on their way to being finalists for the Prep Redzone Oklahoma Player Of The Year award. Every Friday, we’ll look at three players who have been playing outstanding football. We’ll also update you on the previous players that we added to the watchlist.
[player_tooltip player_id="38679" first="Braylin" last="Presley"] - Junior Running Back - Bixby
We already have one Bixby Spartan on the watchlist but after what junior standout [player_tooltip player_id="38679" first="Braylin" last="Presley"] did last week, we couldn’t deny him a spot this week. Presley joins teammate [player_tooltip player_id="38531" first="Mason" last="Williams"] as Bixby representatives on the Watchlist. Presley was outstanding in their win over Carl Albert. Not just that, he’s gotten off to a great start and has really established himself as one of the top running backs in the state. You can certainly make the case that he’s the most electrifying running back in the state right now with the way he runs the ball. Last week, in their blowout win over the Titans, Presley ran for over 300 yards and six touchdowns in the win. For the season, he now has 64 carries for 624 yards and 10 touchdowns. He’s also the biggest threat in the passing game and has caught 26 passes for 281 yards and 4 touchdowns.

[player_tooltip player_id="38657" first="Ethan" last="Hyche"] - Senior Running Back - Edmond Santa Fe
Edmond Santa Fe has won three straight after a slow 0-2 start and you can look at the production of senior running back [player_tooltip player_id="38657" first="Ethan" last="Hyche"] as a big reason why. He’s gotten loose in the last three games and hasn’t been slowed down yet. In Santa Fe’s first two games, losses to Owasso and Stillwater, Hyche had a combined 142 yards and three touchdowns. In their last three games, Hyche has 566 yards and 9 touchdowns. He’s scored three touchdowns in all three of Santa Fe’s wins this season. For the season, Hyche has carried the ball 101 times for 708 yards and 12 touchdowns. However, we’ll find out how good Hyche is over the next month as their toughest district games are still ahead of them. It starts this week as they face Yukon. In the next month they also square off with Broken Arrow and Jenks.

[player_tooltip player_id="38533" first="Owen" last="Ostroski"] - Senior Defensive Lineman - Holland Hall
Holland Hall has emerged as the top team in Class 3A and senior [player_tooltip player_id="38533" first="Owen" last="Ostroski"] has led a Dutch defense that has been one of the best in the state of Oklahoma. Holland Hall is 5-0 on the season and have allowed a total of 13 points all year. That includes three games that ended in shutouts. Ostroski came into this season as a player to watch as Holland Hall moved up to 3A and he’s lived up to that hype. It was obvious during the offseason that Ostroski had transformed into a monster and he’s been just that on the field. So far, he’s come up with 38 tackles, 20.5 of them have come for a loss. He has 9 sacks, 3 forced fumbles and 1 recovery. And with Holland Hall blowing out just about everyone they play, He’s done all this in just a little over half of their games.
