The 2020 Michigan high school football season was back in action throughout the weekend and it was another week filled with impressive performances. Here are some of the top performers from across the state in the 2021 class.

Rose gets my vote for performance of the week. In the first quarter alone, he blocked a field goal, which was returned for a touchdown, threw a 63-yard touchdown pass, returned a 54-yard punt for a touchdown, caught a 70-yard bubble pass for a touchdown, had a three-yard touchdown run and intercepted a pass that he returned for a touchdown. He created SIX touchdowns within ONE quarter of play. His lack of size is certainly hurting his recruitment, but Rose is an outstanding player. He holds offers from Ferris State, Mount Union, Lawrence Tech and Hope, but he should be receiving many more soon.

Brooks came to play in a big win over rival Livonia Franklin. He completed 17-of-21 passes for 308 yards and five touchdowns while adding 83 yards and one touchdown on the ground. He is one of the top quarterbacks in the state, but mostly holds NAIA offers. I’m excited to see if he picks up a D1 offer before the cycle ends.
[player_tooltip player_id="29828" first="Justyz" last="Tuggle"] | WR | Detroit Central
Tuggle is a speedy playmaker that can make an impact on either side of the ball. He was the best player on the field in a 58-0 blowout win over Frederick Douglass. He accounted for 226 total yards and three touchdowns while adding a 32-yard fumble return for a touchdown as well. Tuggle holds offers from FCS to DIII, but I think he is a player that could pick up some sort of FBS opportunity later this season.
[player_tooltip player_id="29673" first="Drew" last="Collins"] | QB | Montague
Collins is an underrated signal caller that had a big week in a 48-6 win over Ravenna. He completed 23-of-27 passes for 307 yards and one touchdown, but he also added 75 yards and two more touchdowns on the ground. He showed his dual-threat ability and I’m interested to see what offers he picks up.
[player_tooltip player_id="29780" first="Tyler" last="Stezowski"] | RB/DB | Hamilton
Stezowski is a small school kid, but he made his presence known on Friday night. He scored four rushing touchdowns in a 28-22 victory over Holland Christian. He holds offers on the NAIA and DIII levels, but he should continue to see more offers come his way throughout the season.
