Week 3 Players to watch in Central Ohio

This year every team will make the playoffs in the state.  This weekend though we may separate the contenders from the pretenders in the 614.  Keep an eye out for the players below and put them on your radar. <em><strong><span style="font-size: 14pt;">Dublin Coffman</span> </strong></em> #9 <strong>Conor Matthews</strong> (Sr.) QB, 6’1 185 - Led the team from 14-0 against Olentangy Liberty this past weekend.  Multiple year starter and very good prospect in the 2021 class. #2 <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="34504" first="Byron" last="Threats"]</strong> (Sr.) RB, 5’11 202 - Very versatile back and a favorite target for Matthews. #3 <strong>Sheron Phipps</strong> (Sr.) WR/DB, 5’10 170 - Transferred from Thomas Worthington and is another potent target for Matthews and an integral part of the offense. <span style="font-size: 14pt;"><strong><em>Pickerington North </em></strong></span> #16 <strong>Jaylen Gilbert</strong> (Sr.) QB, 6’3 220 - Bounced back from a week 1 setback to beat Westerville Central 34-20. #38 <strong>Marquise Scott</strong> (Sr.) RB, 5’10 185 - Integral part in an offensive rushing attack which had 359 yards this past week. <span style="font-size: 14pt;"><em><strong>Westerville South </strong></em></span> #16 <strong>Peter Pedrozo</strong> (Sr.) QB, 5’11 185 - Was injured most of 2019 but has come out of the gate in 2020 with 2 stellar performances.  This past weekend threw TD passes to 4 different receivers against Big Walnut. <span style="font-size: 14pt;"><em><strong>Olentangy Berlin </strong></em></span> #13 <strong>Jacob Moeller</strong> (Sr.) QB, 6’4 190 - Was 18 for 28 for 444 yards and 3 TD's this past week. <span style="font-size: 14pt;"><em><strong>St. Francis DeSales </strong></em></span> #28 <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="34270" first="Quintell" last="Quin"]n</strong> (Sr.) RB, 5’9 180 - Went off for 180 yards on 15 carries last week vs Mansfield.  Also found the endzone twice. <span style="font-size: 14pt;"><em><strong>Groveport </strong></em></span> #7 <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="34262" first="Jalil" last="Underdown"]</strong> (Sr.) RB/SB, 5’9 175 - Had an astonishing 179 yards on 10 carries with 3 TD's against a very good Reynoldsburg team. &nbsp;
