Whit Weeks, 6’4” 215 pounds, Running back/Linebacker, Oconee County High School (2023)
Weeks played alongside his older brother, West Weeks West Weeks 6'2" | 195 lbs | LB Oconee County | 2021 State GA , a University of Virginia commit. At times it was hard to tell the two apart.
Weeks has inherited the imposing figure that his brother and his father, former University of Georgia player David Weeks, both possess.
Weeks looked solid in and out of his cuts at the running back spot. He did fumble on his first series, but when the ball was in his hands, he looked comfortable in where he was going. He was very impressive as a sophomore starting his first varsity football game.
Weeks finished with 61 yards on 11 carries.
C.J. Jones, 5’ 11” 175 pounds, Running back, Oconee County High School (2022)
Jones shared the carries with Weeks among other backs for the Warriors on Friday night. He finished with 51 yards on 10 carries.
The stats aren’t anything special yet, but the wiggle grabs the attention.
When Jones gets the football, he just looks explosive. He is jittery and he bounces in and out of cuts. There were a few times where Jones was surrounded and popped out on the other side of the defenders for a few more yards. He suffered from two fumbles on Friday of his own. If he gets that cleaned up, he’ll be in for some big plays with the Warriors this season.
Dominic Elder Jr, 5’8” 190 pounds, Running back, North Oconee High School (2023)
Elder Jr. started the night as the Titans’ second back. He ended up having the most carries. He finished the game with 41 yards, which led the Titans.
Elder looks smooth when he has the ball. He slithers in and out of cuts. He doesn’t have the suddenness of Jones yet.
It’s more calculated. Elder is one of those players that he can dissect defenses as he is running. He does a good job of following his blocks.
As his carries increase, so will his opportunity to make big plays for the Titans.
