With these uncertain times, many high school athletes are transferring schools. For Arizona, the state has landed some big time players that will make an immediate mark in the competition, with three of these prospects enrolling at Hamilton High School. Here is a look at five newcomers who are expected to have huge seasons:<img class="size-medium wp-image-24527 alignright" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/redzone/uploads/2020/06/Generic-Featured-Image-2-300x187.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="187" /> [player_tooltip player_id="42783" first="Nicco" last="Marchiol"], QB, 6’2" 215lbs Hamilton HS (Class of 2022) Marchiol comes to Hamilton from Regis Jesuit High School in Aurora, Colorado. As a two year starter at Regis Jesuit, Marchiol threw for over 4,000 yards and over 40 TD’s, as well as adding 12 more TD’s on the ground. The 4 star recruit already has over 25 offers going into his Junior year, and will continue to rack up more offers the next two seasons. The pro-style QB is shows pinpoint accuracy with impressive arm strength. Marchiol shows the ability to make tight window throws with a very quick release. He could potentially be the best QB in Arizona, and will continue the trend of making Arizona an elite QB state while he looks to have a a breakout first season at Hamilton. Jack Howell, ATH., 6’0" 190lbs. Hamilton HS (Class of 2021) Howell comes from Valor Christian High School in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. Howell will be one of the most dynamic players in Arizona. The Colorado State commit was the iron man his previous two seasons at Valor Christian. He possesses lightning speed with the ability to play anywhere. He has lined up as a QB, RB, receiver, safety, and return specialist for Valor Christian and has played all positions at an elite level. His speed is lethal, as well as his ability to move lateral and change direction quickly. On defense, he is a prototypical safety by displaying great instincts on both run support and man and zone coverage. Howell is a play maker on both sides of the ball, and it will be very interesting on Hamilton will utilize Howell this season. Pinnacle HS (Class of 2021) Singer comes to Pinnacle from Tartan High School in Oakdale, Minnesota. Singer provided a major spark on both sides of the ball. He is always on the field and is a threat on every play. He can play from the slot and outside, and shows great speed and the ability to run any route at a high level. Singer shows good feet and technique, with the ability to track the ball well, which also helps him as a DB. Singer shows excellent leaping ability and is able to high point balls well. As a DB, primarily at safety, he does not hesitate to fly up and stop the run. He is a an excellent cover safety as he blankets receivers and does not let anybody get over the top of him. Singer should be a major threat on both sides of the ball as well as special teams for Pinnacle. [player_tooltip player_id="42643" first="Noah" last="Schmidt"], RB, 5’11" 195lbs. Hamilton HS (Class of 2021) Schmidt comes to Hamilton from Grandview High School in Aurora, Colorado to join the rest of the Colorado-Hamilton connection. Schmidt was a two-way player and the top RB prospect in Colorado by rushing for over 1,800 yards and 16 TD’s last season, ultimately leading him to a 5A 1st team all-state accolade. Schmidt has an exceptional football IQ by understand flow of blocks and possesses good speed with lateral mobility. He consistently stretches to the numbers after breaking past the first level, then shows his breakaway speed once hes into open field. Schmidt has the ability to make defenders miss as well as the ability to put his shoulder down. He is your complete 25+ touches a game type back, and looks to have a big role at Hamilton. [player_tooltip player_id="42820" first="Jack" last="Benson"], QB, 6’3" 170lbs. Arcadia HS (Class of 2022) Benson comes to Arcadia from Centennial High School in Boise, Idaho. As a sophomore, Benson stepped into the QB1 role in a tough situation. Despite a rough season, Benson showed the ability to be a leader and play hard through adverse situations. Expect the struggles of a previous young team for Benson to transfer as a upside for maturity. Benson is a lanky QB with room to put on size who likes to throw the ball deep. He shows a good release and the ability to throw accurate balls on the move. Benson has the potential to transform into a threat as a pocket passer, and looks to be a competitor for Arcadia this season.
