In the 2021 class, Northern California is loaded with top tier tight ends with the likes of 4-stars [player_tooltip player_id="25030" first="Brock" last="Bowers"] and [player_tooltip player_id="25035" first="Jermaine" last="Terry"], along with 3-stars like San Diego State bound [player_tooltip player_id="25140" first="JP" last="Murphy"], Oregon State bound [player_tooltip player_id="25125" first="JT" last="Byrne"] and Louisville commit [player_tooltip player_id="25097" first="Christian" last="Pedersen"]. Here is a dive into some of the other top tight ends in Norcal in both the 2021 and 2022 class.
Sam Olson-Roush, 6’5" 225 Ibs., Valley Christian HS
The 2022 national recruit holds offers from Stanford, North Carolina and Michigan State among others. A fast rising 4-star prospect is coming off of a huge sophomore campaign starting for one of the top teams in Northern California. On tape, Olson-Roush displays good speed and strong hands/body control in traffic while flashing great movement skills and high point ability. A physical player and vertical threat, he will only continue to develop over the next two years and continue to reel in power five offers.

[player_tooltip player_id="25199" first="Winston" last="Williams"], 6’4" 230 Ibs., Immanuel HS
One of the top small school two-sport prospects in the state, Winston is a terrific athlete that plays on both sides of the ball. A physical presence, Williams is a balanced defender with good use of hands and ability to rush the passer from different angles and play the run. Possessing a very strong frame, he flashes good speed for his size and breaks arm tackles while tracking/high pointing the ball well. Still a raw prospect but possesses good upside and currently holds offers from UC Davis, Fresno State, Sacramento State, Wyoming, Army and SJSU.

Gabe Milborne, 6’5" 230 Ibs, Sonora HS
Another under-recruited 2021 prospect, Milborne has great size/frame and a strong lower body. He displays strong hands and good high point ability with deceptive speed. Extremely physical with the ball in his hands and looks for contact. Can run through arm tackles/displays good balance. Willing run blocker with a good finish. Very complete TE with all the tools to be a Major D1 prospect. Needs to continue to work on short area quickness/fluidity in space. Will continue to collect offers as he goes into his senior season.

Michael Otterstedt, 6’4" 220 Ibs, Vacaville HS
Currently holding two offers from the University of Montana and Davidson, Otterstedt is still a raw player but has a good frame that can add more weight/muscle do it. At the next level, he can play defensive end, linebacker or tight end. On film, he displays good physicality, hand placement and finish in the run game along with ability to catch the ball in traffic and is a threat in the red zone. Will continue to gather D2 and FCS offers as he enters into his last season of high school football.

Christoph Horton, 6’4" 210 Ibs., Napa HS
A teammate of 4-star Georgia bound tight end [player_tooltip player_id="25030" first="Brock" last="Bowers"], Horton had a good sophomore season where he flashed his athletic ability and potential. Only a sophomore, he was used more as an outside receiver in the passing game but displayed his big frame and will only continue to grow and develop. On tape, the 2022 North Bay prospect displays his physicality in both the run game and when high pointing the ball. The Napa high prospect will be one to keep an eye on over the next two seasons.
