Wide receiver Kyion Grayes Kyion Grayes 6'1" | 175 lbs | WR Chandler | 2022 State AZ out of Chandler HS is Prep Redzone’s #1 ranked receiver in the 2022 class and the #6 player overall. Grayes is approaching double digit offers including ASU, Miami, Iowa St., and Michigan State prior to his commitment to U of A. His decision came early in the recruiting process which he attributed to the uncertainty of Covid19 and wanting to be close to home in his post to twitter. The Wildcats are getting a dynamic athlete that has all the tools to be an impact player at the major D1 level. He’s a fluid route runner that is clean in and out of his breaks and understands how to create separation by selling his routes. He is a natural pass catcher with strong hands, good body control, and a great ability to adjust to the ball in the air. He’s an explosive playmaker with the ball in his hands and has good skill after the catch using his athleticism and quickness to avoid tackles in space. Despite his commitment to Arizona, Grayes mentioned his recruitment is still open and that he will be in contact with other college coaches.

Quarterback Treyson Bourguet Treyson Bourguet 6'2" | 195 lbs | QB Salpointe Catholic | 2022 State AZ is Prep Redzone’s 2022 fourth ranked QB in Arizona and a guy that has the potential and talent to have double digit offers by the end of his high school career. In a normal recruiting year where he could have shown his skillset at showcases, camps, and combines I expect his recruiting would look different but after transferring to Salpointe Catholic from Marana and sitting out the first half of the 2019 season his only other offer was from Vanderbilt. But with his best football ahead of him and two full varsity seasons left to develop, Tucson has to be happy to land such a quality commitment early in the 2022 recruiting process. Bourguet has good size coming into his junior year at 6’2” 190 lbs. with an even bigger arm. He has the ability to stretch the field vertically with his arm strength while also showing he can zip a ball into a tight window on short and intermediate routes. He demonstrates good footwork and throwing mechanics in the pocket with a good balanced base and quick release. Scouts love his natural playmaking ability and composure in the pocket never appearing panicked or rushed while extending plays with his feet and finding an open target downfield. In his announcement, Treyson mentioned the opportunity to play in front of his family and friends at a university he grew up rooting for was the deciding factor in his decision.

The commitment of two of Arizona’s top playmakers should help in-state recruiting for U of A. After seeing many of the top players in the 2021 recruiting class commit to universities outside Arizona both Grayes and Bourguet spoke of their intention to start recruiting other 2022 prospects to the Wildcats. They will join Prep Redzone’s #2 ranked 2021 RB Stevie Rocker Jr. Stevie Rocker Jr. 6'0" | 185 lbs | RB Canyon Del Oro | 2021 State AZ who also committed to Arizona in July.
