Dante Moore | QB | 6’2″, 180 | Detroit King
Moore is not only the best player in the 2023 class, but he might be one of the best players in the entire state. He has been on college radars ever since Michigan came offering when he was in seventh grade, but his list of offers has grown to twelve since then. He has a good arm with a pretty quick release. He displays advanced touch for a player his age and has flashed some pinpoint accuracy. Moore should get even better with more experience and I’m excited to watch him develop over the next few seasons.
Johnathan Slack | OL | 6’3″, 260 | Detroit King
Slack is another top talent from Detroit King that started thirteen games his freshman season. He will need to continue to add weight and get stronger, but he moves really well for his size and plays with very good hand technique. He has gathered some Power 5 offers recently and should emerge as one of the top offensive lineman in the state this season.
Amir Herring | OL | 6’3″, 255 | West Bloomfield
West Bloomfield’s roster is loaded with talented players and Herring could end up being the best of them by the time his high school career is over. Like Slack, Herring is a great athlete for his size and had plenty of impressive flashes as a freshman. He has a chance to become a big time recruit as he continues to get bigger and stronger.
Cole Dellinger | DL/OL | 6’4″, 250 | Clarkston
As the brother of 2021 tackle and current LSU commit Garrett Dellinger, Cole will have plenty of expectations surrounding him. He primarily played on the defensive line last season, but it will be interesting to see if he makes a transition to the other side of the ball as his career goes on. If Dellinger sticks on defense, he has the size, length and get off to develop into one of the better defensive prospects in the state.
Dylan Senda | OL | 6’4″, 310 | Divine Child
Senda certainly didn’t look out of place on varsity as he already has the size college coaches look for. He showed the versatility to play either center or guard and he shows good nastiness in his play. Senda holds just three FBS offers so far, but more should come during this upcoming season.
Bryce Eliuk | LB | 6’1″, 215 | Linden
Eliuk was a tackle machine for Linden last season and will look to put up impressive numbers once again during his sophomore campaign. The instincts are still developing, but he has good range and the toughness to take on blocks at the point of attack. Eliuk’s play earned him his first scholarship from Central Michigan and more will be coming if he continues to play like he did in 2019.
Brennan Parachek | TE | 6’5″, 225 | Dexter
Parachek’s high school career is off to a great start as he was a key part of Dexter’s offensive success last season. His combination of size and athleticism make him a mismatch against the smaller defensive backs he faces. Parachek will likely be the main target for his older brother Colin and I’m excited to see the duo lead one of the better offenses in the state.
