About Zealand

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Offensively, I am a running back with the hands and body of a TE. Defensively, I can set the edge like a cliff at the grand canyon. I can ride down a down-blocking tackle and blow up a play in the backfield. I'm the nicest worst nightmare of a QB.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m a team-first player who values discipline, effort, and accountability. I bring positive energy, listen to my coaches, and work hard to improve my skills so I can contribute to my team’s success.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I stay focused on school and football while maintaining strong grades. I’ve earned principle honor roll recognition and perfect attendance.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’ve developed leadership by encouraging my teammates and holding myself accountable. I lead by example with effort and attitude, and I stay coachable so I can keep improving and help my team succeed.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Growing up, I’ve taken on responsibility helping care for my mom, who has a debilitating autoimmune disease, and my grandparents, including my grandfather with a severe spine injury. We don’t come from much, but we sacrifice and work hard together—it truly takes a village. This has built my leadership, accountability, and mental toughness.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college that can develop me as an athlete and help me succeed academically. I value a program that emphasizes growth, discipline, and education so I can prepare for success both during and after football.
