About Caleb
Expert Analysis
Andy Pham | Prep Redzone Scout
Caleb has done an exceptional job this offseason. He’s a hybrid backer/EDGE rusher who is fun to watch. He’s a twitchy athlete with good quickness and is explosive. He has good hip bend and plays with good leverage. He’s an instinctual defender who sheds his blocks with ease. He’s a player that can impact at either position, I prefer him as an EDGE rusher but his athleticism makes him a prime candidate for the hybrid LEO role. He’s a great player when pressing forward and attacking. It’ll be a fun year ahead for him.

Caleb has made an impact as a freshman and he emerged last week. He shows good size, is physical and already has good size. He is explosive, is quick laterally and a violent player. He’ll look to help the Brighton defense stymie Ridgeline’s offense.

Faaootoa is an exciting prospect and he’ll see action on Thursday nights but his skill set and advanced traits will see him suit up on Friday nights and he is a player that should get some reps as the season goes on, he’ll flash with his oppurtunitites and he is a player that has D1 offers in his future, huge upside.

Faaootoa is a good athlete and has an explosive first step off the line. He’s a hybrid edge rusher/on-ball backer. He moves well laterally, is light on his feet, showcases quick hands, and plays with good physicality. He’s a prospect who will grow into his fram,e and he has all the tools to be a top edge rusher in this class.

- Emotional leader of any team he plays for. Brings the electricity and juice to get his teammates ready to play
- Tough and physical prospect who appears to have good size (size not verified) but overwhelms some of the big linemen in Utah who have a few inches and significant pounds on him
- Personifies the part of the modern day edge player. Has a Linebacker build and quickness, but lines up in a three/four-point stance as a Defenive End
