The Falcons experience an up-and-down season in 2024, but will look to players like senior Zander Goering Zander Goering 6'1" | 195 lbs | WR/DB Lincoln Northwest | 2026 State NE to lead the charge this fall. Goering returns as the team’s leading receiver from last season after hauling in 21 catches for 198 yards and a receiving touchdown. We have Zander primarily listed as a receiver, but has really raised some eyebrows on the defensive side where he flashes upside at outside linebacker and recorded 42 tackes, an interception, and a fumble recovery. Having watched Zander at 7v7s and on tape, I am suprised with how smooth and fluid he is when running his routes, especially for being a taller receiver at 6’2″, 185 pounds. Goering does a great job using his lengthy reach to make catches outside of his frame. Toughness after the catch— will fight to tack on additional yardage as he fights through contact. Goering also impressed with his versatility, showing that he can line up as an H-back, outside receiver, or move inside as well. Defensively, Goering plays very well in coverage, displaying fluid mobility as he lurks over the middle of the field. He’s is a secure tackler and can use his receiving skills to create turnovers/break ups at the catch point. Solid two-way player!
