Has always been a play-maker since my first couple years covering the Pub. This is hardly a new name dating back to his days making plays for Future. Now at West Philly, it looks like the senior has been revitalized. A couple of weeks back, Poteat broke the single-game WP rushing record with 294 yards on just 17 carries. That alone warrants my attention, as well as attention from any coach recruiting the area. Poteat has a fun first-four. Poteat is the active man behind center for exactly the reasons I stated above, he’s a premier play-maker. He might not get recruited to play the position of course, yet the kid can still distribute the ball via screens and out routes, while damn well making kids look silly in the open field. QB bootlegs, QB draws, QB sweeps, all of this is unlocked thanks to Poteat’s prowess with the ball in his hands. I can go on and on about how much of a spark this kid is on offense, I can’t go without mentioning he can play both sides of the ball. I think Poteat’s efforts from start to finish should earn him some looks at the very least.
