The hardest-hitting DB in the state may just be 2025 Nitro safety

who we’ve been very high on for a while now.
Dickerson enjoys stamping receivers over the middle and can do so coming downhill in run support or short passes as well. He’s athletic on the back end of the Nitro defense and can cover a lot of ground quickly, but the strength of his game may be playing closer to the LOS where he can defend the run or quick passes at a high level or line up head over slot receivers in man coverage with the ability to stick to them. Dickerson has totaled 44 tackles and 5 interceptions so far this season as one of the more versatile defensive backs in the 2025 class.

who will once again repeat that description this season. Dickerson has picked up interest in his recruitment this summer picking up offers from Glenville State and UVA-Wise as more colleges are seeing what we’ve seen in him. He totaled 94 tackles as a junior which was second on the team and picked off two passes as a well-rounded safety prospect. Dickerson is strong in coverage and even better playing the run and getting downhill inside of the box. He’s very athletic and has the physicality to be a complete safety at the next level as he continues to fill out his frame.
Dickerson has a high ceiling as a prospect and should have plenty of options for where he wants to go to college by the end of the season.

. He was not on our radar until this season and when we evaluated prospects at the midpoint of this season Dickerson really jumped out and was named a DB stock riser. If we broke up the DB rankings positionally he would currently rank as the #1 safety prospect in the 2025 class. Dickerson was second on the team for tackles with 94 total along with two interceptions and 3 forced fumbles. I love his versatility of being physical enough to make plays in the box but also has the athleticism to play deep safety and roam around in coverage. You see his athleticism pop when he reads a run play at free safety and gets downhill quick enough to make a play at the line of scrimmage. Dickerson is a sure tackler in the open field with very good pursuit speed. If he can keep adding weight to his 6’1 length his stock will rise even more and could potentially flirt with some D1 interest.

. The Capital transfer is a safety prospect with good length at 6’1 and has shown to be rangy on the back end but also physical in the run game and in the box. Dickerson is the second-leading tackler for the Wildcats in five games played with 56 total tackles and averaging 11 per game. He had a phenomenal performance against Chapmanville earlier this season with 22 total tackles so Dickerson isn’t afraid to be physical. His coverage drop to tackle reaction speed is very good and Dickerson can get downhill in a hurry and with force. His open-field tackling is consistent and he can really put some power and force behind his hits.
