Benedict has good length and vision and brings a dual-threat skill set that keeps defenses honest. He’s effective in the read option game and does a nice job knowing when to pull the ball and take advantage of what the defense gives him. As a passer, he shows good touch on downfield throws and can drop the ball in over a receiver’s shoulder. He makes quick decisions, processes things well, and doesn’t like to hold onto the football unnecessarily. He also does a good job avoiding negative plays and won’t take many bad sacks. I think the combination of decision-making, mobility, and touch as a passer makes him a really intriguing quarterback.
