Expert Analysis

A hidden gem out of Holyoke. Sprague plays QB and LB this past season. I’ve seen a lot of two way players before, but not QB and LB. He excels at both positions. However, today I will be discussing his quarterback abilities. Throughout the season, Sprague threw for 2434 yards for 32 TDs, 7 INTs, with a 65.2% completion rate. Good size for a QB at 6’2 185 pounds. Sprague has an improviser archetype. Making plays that are off-script and using his legs to punish the defense. Wyatt has a snappy quick release. Powerful arm which allows him to throw down the field and into tight coverages. Sprague has very good ball placement skills. Able to lead his WRs with the football. He’ll throw it in front and in stride. Majority of the time, he is right on the money putting in it in the WR’s strike zone. Finds open WR for easy completions by going through his reads. Sprague thrives under pressure. He shows poise in the pocket, while maintaining his eyes downfield. He’s comfortable and secure in the pocket. He will step up under pressure, and stays cool. Wyatt has the ability to roll out left, and making accurate throws on the run. Accurate while throwing off-balance too. QB runs are apart of his game. On the ground he rushed 88 times for 530 yards and 7 TDs. If there’s no one open, he will use his legs to pick up the first down. He’s got good speed, acceleration and change of direction. He’s very shifty out in open space and in the pocket. Wyatt’s very physical with the defenders. Contact doesn’t scare him off. Defenders slip off of him like he’s butter. Sprague can ball out, and should be on everybody’s radar.
