is a offensive weapon who thrives in the middle of the field, serving as a dependable, quick-release target along the hashes. Whether it’s moving the chains on short routes or making a catch in tight coverage, Akingbade’s timing and hands make him a valuable safety valve for his quarterback.
But his impact doesn’t stop with the passing game, Akingbade is also an effective blocker. He consistently shows good technique in the run game, getting his hips turned and sealing the edge to open lanes for his running backs. His physicality and willingness to do the dirty work make him a complete contributor at the position.
In July, Akingbade earned his first Division I offer from Hampton University, marking the beginning of what could be a promising recruitment. Akingbade is a name to watch as he continues to develop into a well-rounded offensive asset.

recently earned his first Division I offer from Hampton University, marking a key milestone in the recruitment of a rising two-way prospect with size, versatility, and upside.
On offense, Akingbade is a reliable receiving threat, especially along the hashes, where he uses his frame and catch radius to move the chains and challenge defenders in tight spaces. In the run game, he shows his physicality as a blocker, creating running lanes and sealing edges with good technique and effort.
Defensively, Akingbade uses his length and awareness to great effect. He consistently positions himself in passing lanes, making it difficult for quarterbacks to throw over or around him. His ability to cover space, disrupt timing, and contest throws gives him value as a hybrid defender with a high ceiling.
With his first offer on the table and a well-rounded skill set on both sides of the ball, Akingbade is a prospect to watch as his recruitment gains steam.

Will makes his initial debut on the rankings as a top 150 player and the #7 overall TE in the class. With his size, athleticism and high academics (holding a 3.9 GPA/4.4 WGPA) I don’t know how he doesn’t have any offers yet. I saw Will recently and he showed extremely well which lead to his strong showing in the rankings.
Here is a short exert about Will from that previous article: “Playing both TE & OLB, Will makes impact plays on both sides of the ball. As a TE, he can be inline or flex out as a big slot. He works up the seam well and uses his size to his advantage making him a good redzone option as well. A more than capable blocker as well from TE spot, he plays with good leverage and drive. At OLB, Will can play coming off the edge or off ball. Athletic enough to play in space/coverage and strong enough to take on blockers and hold the edge.”
Will has the size, frame, athleticism to be an FCS level player in my mind. I can wait to see more of him this fall and feel he is a sleeper prospect still who will end up being a steal for whatever college pulls the trigger on him and secures his commitment.
