Brittin Poffenbarger Brittin Poffenbarger 6'4" | 210 lbs | QB/ATH Middletown | 2026 State MD is coming off a breakout season in which he totaled 30 touchdowns, 20 through the air and 10 on the ground, firmly establishing himself as one of the more productive dual-threat quarterbacks in his class. With a balanced skill set, Poffenbarger continues to gain momentum on the recruiting trail.

He currently holds eight Division I offers, including from Towson University, the University of Delaware, and most recently, Stony Brook University. His ability to make plays both through the air and in the run game makes him a tough assignment for opposing defenses.

With another year of growth and refinement ahead, Poffenbarger’s recruitment is trending in the right direction. If he builds on last season’s success, expect even more programs, FCS and beyond, to take serious interest.

With only 80 completions, Brittin made each one count. He recorded 18 touchdown passes and had a 115 passer rating while leading one of Maryland’s more efficient small-school offenses. Poffenbarger was very careful with the football, only throwing four interceptions. He also rushed for 441 yards and nine touchdowns while helping lead his team to a 703 record last season. He recently picked up another offer from Stony Brook on June 16th. He helped lead Middletown to a 9-3 record last season.

Brittin picked up his second D1 offer this past week, adding Cornell to go along with a Delaware offer he received earlier this winter.

Putting together an exception junior season, Leading Middletown to a the 2A/1A state semi-finals. On the year Brittin put up 30 total TDs, 20 passing and 10 rushing. With a strong arm, he can get off a long deep ball to receivers down the field. Can also throw with touch and accuracy, able to get it up&down over defenders into windows. Brittin is also a strong runner, able to scramble for big gains or extend the play with smart pocket mobility and throw well on the run. An impressive all around athlete who comes from an athletic family, and a high 3.8 GPA, Brittin has shown he can be a do it all QB that plenty of college coaches will want to get eyes on this off-season.

Brittin has the ability to make game planning difficult for defenses this season, he poses multiple threats with the ball in his hands. On roll outs and scrambles he keeps his eyes down field and does a good job of finding his playmakers. Once he crosses the line of scrimmage he runs with purpose, picking up chunks of yards. Brittin has great size already at 6’4 210lbs, the athletic QB may be able to contribute at other positions at the next level if he chooses that route. Poffenbarger currently holds 1 offer from UNLV.
