. I was able to watch Will live this season and was impressed by his 6’1″ 200 lbs frame. He is a well filled out athlete that is able to use that size to box out at the catch point and punish DBs that try to bring him down after the catch. That run after the catch ability allows Will to create big plays in the short passing game. I love the way that the senior uses his size to his advantage to create space by boxing out DBs in the short passing game. Once you start to play more tight on him is when Will will get behind your DB for the deep shot too. Definitely give this kid a look. He is a difference maker out wide.

Stats: 2 Receptions, 20 Yards, Multiple Tackles on Defense
Prescott didn’t need Will to dominate on offense in this game, but the senior WR still showed a little something. He turned both of his quick catches solid gains on the back of some tough running to gain yards after the catch and after contact. Will has a well put together, strong frame that really shined at safety/OLB Friday night too. He did a great job playing through traffic and was able to easily make one on one tackles with his superior lateral agility. Will brought the physicality to defense too from getting off blocks or flying in to make hard hitting wrap up tackles. This game opened my eyes to the potential that Will could make an impact at more than just WR at the next level. Check out the hidden gem.

went absolutely berserk in Week 1 to beat Northwestern. The senior WR reeled in 8 catches, for 130 yards, and 3 TDs. Will was a big play threat with every catch. Will did a lot of his damage in the short passing game. He would quickly get separation and then after the catch Will showed how strong and tough of a runner he is. The senior WR piled up a lot of yards after contact in Week 1, showing how much of a playmaker he is. Look for him to put up more big numbers in Week 2. Don’t sleep on one of the top hidden gems of northern WI. Check out the film.

Will is one of the best Northern WI receivers. He is coming off back to back 1st Team All Conference WR seasons, and he is poised for a fun summer and fall. The 6’1″ 200 lbs athlete has a great frame for the position. However, it isn’t the size that he leans on most to create separation. It is his speed. Will is able to pull away from DBs while attacking every level of the field. Whether it is shallow drags, or flying up the seam, Will has proven to be hard to run with. The bigger target also possesses the balance needed to not only run effective routes, but also be dangerous after the catch. Packard has the lateral agility to shake DBs after the catch, and he has strong vision with the ball in his hands as he figures out the best path to yards after the catch. Make sure this weapon is on your boards.

One of the athletes I couldn’t wait to watch in this game was the junior WR out of Prescott. Will has a good build for the position at 6’1″ 180 lbs. It is well filled out, and comes loaded with game breaking speed. The track standout used that speed to take over the game. He scored three TDs, and they all resulted because of his speed either before or after the catch. The junior also showed off natural hands that plucked the ball out of the air. Packard also possesses the short area agility, balance, and burst to be an effective route runner. He was able to open up plenty of separation for his QB to target all night long. This is a name to get on recruiting boards in the Class of 2025.
