Monroe measures in at 6’2 215-pounds. Against Fruita Monument, he had 11 total tackles (10 solo, and 1 assisted). He has very good athletic ability due to very good lateral quickness, acceleration, change of direction, and good speed. Strong defensive end. Very good initial quickness out of his stance and uses his good hand speed to engage first. Quick twitch, and explosive player. Very good bend around the edge with his flexibility. Powerful bull rush and a good spin move. Very good hand strength and hand placement. Good get off speed and very good block shedding. Monroe has relentless pursuit and doesn’t give up until the play is finished. Keep an eye on Monroe to dominate these playoffs.
Monroe is a constant thorn in the offensive’s side. Having seen him up close with Mile High Prep this past spring, kid is a dawg. He had 65 total tackles (49 solo, 16 assisted), 1 TFL, 11 sacks, 2 FF and 2 FR. Very good athletic ability due to very good acceleration, lateral quickness, good change of direction, and speed. Very good strength. He utilizes his quick twitch and explosiveness to gain the upper hand against tackles. This edge rusher has a very good bend around the edge. Very good hand placement and hand strength. Monroe is a good block shedder with good get off speed. Monroe has strong tackler, and very good tackling form. Very good competitive toughness and pursuit. He doesn’t stop till the play is finished and has a relentless pursuit. I’m a huge fan of this guy, and colleges NEED to take an extra look his way !
Measuring in at 6’2 215-pounds, Monroe was a consistent defensive presence to offenses. He had 65 total tackles (49 solo, 16 assisted), 1 TFL, 11 sacks, 2 FF, and 2 FR. Monroe has very good acceleration, good speed, and lateral quickness. He uses his good strength with a low pad level to get underneath the OL. Good bend around the edge. Very good hand placement and hand strength to move OL around easily. Good bull rush. Monroe is a good block shedder, then accelerates to the QB or RB. He has long strides and lengthy arms not having to waste as much energy running around. His eyes are always where the ball is. He didn’t get faked on a fake jet sweep play action, and got the tackle. Monroe’s relentless ability to stay in pursuit is an attractive trait for an edge rusher. Watch out for Monroe.
Fresh off a championship win, Monroe is looking to continue where he left off. The defensive end measures in at 6’3 215 pounds. Throughout the season, he accounted for 27 total tackles (22 solo, 5 assisted) and 3 sacks. Monroe has very good athletic ability due to very good acceleration, speed, and good change of direction. Monroe bounces between the inside and the outside, excelling at both. He has very good strength. For example, he started to get pulled down by the OL, then immediately pulls the OL down while staying up. He will also make a TFL while getting held by the OL. Monroe has a good low pad level to get underneath the defender. He uses his good hand placement to control and steer the OL away. Using his good bull rush, he’ll knock the offensive lineman off of their anchor. Monroe has a fire that isn’t looking to be extinguished this upcoming season.
Monroe is an edge rusher that plays the game with speed and aggression. He has a quick first step that helps him get on top of his opponent quickly and he has the strength to take on the bigger lineman or can beat them with speed. He is a good open field tackler and has a knack for making plays in the backfield. He will be a stock watch player to know and should grab a lot of attention this season.
