Another year, more of the same out of New Castle’s Tyler Leekins Tyler Leekins 5'10" | 150 lbs | ATH New Castle | 2023 State PA . One offer out of Westminster College. Tyler Leekin’s full efforts as a high school prospect has led to a ton of interest from numerous local schools. Leekins might be holding off a commitment to see if any new suitors show their faces. The young man might be worth it. It’s always been tough to decide which side of the ball Leekins might be best suited, a wonderful problem to have. This Fall, his 8-week tape showed a great blend of WR and DB skills. 14 receptions for 230+ yards, 3 TDs on offense, doing damage from a myriad of alignments. Slight frame that doesn’t appear to be driven off his route easily, although that might be a worry at the next level. 13 tackles, 20 PBUs, and 1 INT at DB, the position I think he has a future in. He’s gained a chip on his shoulder because of the relatively slow recruiting campaign he’s seen thus far. Leekins might be a steal for a local college program.
