Continue ReadingAs a scout, I am on a constant lookout for new names to send to college coaches, often coming across kids with great talent or measurables. Often times, many prospects look the part but have yet to put out substantial production on tape, whatever the reason might be. In this piece, we will highlight some prospects who are ready to breakout this upcoming Fall!
Tyler Leekins Tyler Leekins 5'10" | 150 lbs | ATH New Castle Jr/Sr Highschool | 2023 State PA | 5’10, 150 | New Castle
Electric open field player who can provide reps at DB or WR, as well as serve as your kick or punt returner. Active in the screen game offensively, can make plays in space thanks to his good ability to read blocking. Ton of tackles in run support on tape. Can play either corner spot as well as any alignment on offense, working well both inside and outside the numbers. A player whose tape mostly consists of first-down plays, expecting more explosiveness this upcoming Fall.
Jaelen Richardson Jaelen Richardson 5'7" | 160 lbs | ATH Northampton Area | 2023 State PA | Northampton
True all-around football player who couldn’t careless about his stature. 27 receptions for 400 yards through the air, the Northampton slot receiver showed his worth in the passing attack, securing 4 touchdowns passes last Fall. Add his capabilities as a runner and return man and you have a true all-purpose back who will be a candidate to surpass 1,000 scrimmage yards next season. His play at corner is worth mentioning as well, secures 5 total interceptions to add to 6 total touchdowns on offense.
Xzavier Minium Xzavier Minium 5'10" | 175 lbs | ATH Milton Area | 2023 State PA | 5’10, 175 | Milton Area
Here’s a quarterback who can make something out of nothing with his legs, as well as a safety who can both provide pass coverage as well as run support. Minium, a prospect that is tough to gameplan against, can certainly be special on the move. Any and every play he has the ball, the Milton Area product has the ability to score. This can be said at DB as well, as he shows he has the instincts and elusiveness to take interceptions back for scores.
Anez Jordan Anez Jordan 5'11" | 175 lbs | ATH Gateway | 2023 State PA | 5’11, 175 | Gateway
A fun player to breakdown that I believe needs more hype around the state. A defensive back with ball skills that plays above his build. Love that Jordan can matchup and play physical with different sized targets. Love his alignment versatility on offense and defense, especially how he can work all three levels of the field and feast. A player who I am fully expecting to outplay his rank as well as his low DII grade.

Camariyon Bridges Camariyon Bridges 6'1" | 190 lbs | ATH Cathedral Prep | 2023 State PA | 6’1, 190 | Cathedral Prep
A perfect example of a potential breakout player in the state. Camariyon Bridges Camariyon Bridges 6'1" | 190 lbs | ATH Cathedral Prep | 2023 State PA out of Cathedral Prep is a prospect whose size, skill and projection doesn’t necessarily add up to production on the field. Someone with this size and catching ability should be set to thrive in this passing attacking led by QB Carter Barnes Carter Barnes 6'4" | 215 lbs | QB Cathedral Prep | 2023 State PA . Bridges also brought in 3 interceptions on the year from his slot corner/ FS spot.
Check out a few of his highlights!Junior year 4 touchdowns. 3 interceptions. 1 pick-six. receiving yards 345. receiving yards per game 38.3 @PrepRamblers @cpmisch87 https://t.co/IlIVWE4gpg

Dominic Yanoshak Dominic Yanoshak 5'11" | 185 lbs | ATH Bishop Guilfoyle | 2023 State PA | 5’11, 185 | Bishop Guilfoyle
There aren’t too many roles Dominic Yanoshak Dominic Yanoshak 5'11" | 185 lbs | ATH Bishop Guilfoyle | 2023 State PA can’t play for the defending state Champions. The 1st-team All-State linebacker has a legitimate shot to be selected an all-state wide receiver as well. Production will have to increase dramatically, which will be a tough feet when you consider just how dynamic a linebacker Yanoshak was. 130+ tackles on the year, 8 TFLs, 3 forced fumbles. The numbers do not serve his play justice. He also surmounted 300+ yards on offense at WR. Special player.
Chase Ruokonen Chase Ruokonen 6'0" | 170 lbs | ATH Belle Vernon Area | 2023 State PA | 6’0, 170 | Belle Vernon Area
Tough to decide where I like this prospect best. His tape is littered with solid reps at wideout. He shows he can work downfield, in the intermediate game, or even closer to the line of scrimmage, often seen taking jet-sweep handoffs. His build allows him to be physical on both sides of the football, not being overpowered by corners while also being big enough to handle run support from his safety spot. A player who, with continued refinement and development, could be a name to watch alongside Quinton Martin
Kahlen Watt Kahlen Watt 6'0" | 195 lbs | ATH Manheim Central | 2023 State PA | 6’0, 195 | Manheim Central
There is no doubting where Watt thrives, it is 100% anywhere amongst the defensive front seven. Why he makes this list is because of his potential improvement to any passing game. The young man has the instincts to play wideout and find zones in a defense thanks to his reps at linebacker. He’s also physical enough to lend a hand inside and potentially block as an in-line TE if need be. Really intrigued by Watt’s game. Excited to see what this upcoming Fall will tell.
Roman Sarnic Roman Sarnic 6'1" | 185 lbs | QB Franklin Regional | 2023 State PA | 6’1, 185 | Franklin Regional
Here’s a player whose tape initially starts off with a 40-yard bomb to lead you to believe his tape will be fully of great throws. Next he’s catching balls out of the backfield. Then, for the majority of the tape, Sarnic is showing awesome instincts at his outside linebacker spot, the position at which he looks most comfortable. Sarnic’s a true all-around football player who can provide coaches with something at all three phases of the game.
