Hybrid DB/LB, might be better suited to be ranked as an ATH, yet Varina’s Tyion Crump Tyion Crump 6'3" | DB Varina | 2025 State VA still cracked the top 20 DBs, top 150 as well. Has the smarts and awareness to station at nickel. Crump’s ability to be a factor in both the pass and run gamse make him an ideal fit as a roamer in the front-seven. Can be deployed as a standard OLB in a 4-3, can play nickel, can guard the inside or outside slot. Is a flash to the football, you can almost see his R&R skills click/spark on tape, you can see him play-rec in real-time thanks to his twitch toward the football. One of the tougher DB/LB to block if you’re a TE/WR or RB, Crump winning his matchups make him an immediate game-changer while on the field. A 6’2, stout run defender with brains to react to passing concepts on the fly, you can see why I ranked him among the FBS and FCS level recruits in his class. Likely an OLB prospect, his measurables already translate to that position well. Seeing him work in the open-field should excite coaches who deploy OLBs that have to drop into the secondary occasionally.
