Ty Moore
About Ty
Expert Analysis
Mark Johnson | Prep Redzone Scout
Ty wrapped up his high school career as a force on both sides of the ball. He earned All Conference for the first time of his career on the OL and for the 2nd time of his career on defense. That play on defense is where he dominates and projects best. Ty plays very strong and stout at the point of attack. He can then flip a switch and quickly shed the OL and burst to close on the ball for tackles. His highlights are full of his ability to hold the line of scrimmage including many examples of him taking on double teams without giving up ground. Ty is a powerful DL and can become even more dominant in that area at the next level. Tap into his highlights.

We will have to update our size for Ty as he is currently listed at 6’5″ 295 lbs on his Hudl, and I believe it when the tape starts. The big man is a force in the middle. Ty’s power jumps off the tape as he is shedding blocks. His ability to shove an OL completely off of him with one arm shows special power. That power also flashes in a lot of his punishing tackles. Moore is going to be a big riser in our next rankings update because of that size and power. It is also supplemented by solid lateral agility and his ability to play low and with leverage at that size is hard to find. Ty is looking like a massive steal for a program in the Class of 2026. Get on him today.

The more I watch DL Ty Moore Ty Moore 6'3" | 255 lbs | DL Lakeland Union HighSchool | 2026 State WI the more I am impressed by him. He has an excellent frame to continue to build on and fill out. More size and strength will only make him more of a tough matchup because his junior tape is impressive. Ty is quick with his first step and can turn that speed into power the second he gets his heavy hands on the OL. The ’26 DT has plenty of examples of his power to be able to hold the line of scrimmage then quickly disengage and make the tackle for little or no gain. Moore is already able to collapse the interior of the pocket with his strength. I strongly believe he will be a D2 recruit the more I watch him, and continue to climb the rankings. Check him out if you haven’t.
