Another quarterback that stood out to me last week was Tucker Warren Tucker Warren 5'11" | 175 lbs | QB Rockcastle County | 2024 State KY from Rockcastle County. Warren led his team to a hard-fought victory over Lawrence County, completing 12/20 passes for 217 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. Tucker has impressive accuracy as a passer, showing the ability to hit his receivers out of their breaks where only they have a chance to catch the ball. He also has the arm strength to stretch the field in the deep passing game. Warren also showed true dual threat ability, running the ball 23 times for 65 yards and two touchdowns. He also made an impact on defense, finishing the game with eight tackles and an interception. Tucker currently holds an offer from Mount Saint Joseph and I wouldn’t be surprised to see more come his way as he has the talent to play at the next level. Warren and the Rockets will be looking to keep their season going in a tough matchup against Lexington Catholic this week.

Equally effective whether passing or running the football, Warren returns for his senior season as one of the state’s most accomplished dual-threat quarterbacks, and he has Jaguar fans highly optimistic about their team’s prospects for 2023. Completing 106 of 203 pass attempts for 1,287 yards and 10 touchdowns, he displays the arm strength and accuracy to stretch the field both vertically and horizontally, and he does an excellent job of extending plays with his feet while allowing plays to develop. Maintaining composure and keeping his eyes downfield in the face of pressure also are traits that distinguish his play from others. In addition, after racking up 1,154 yards and scoring 14 touchdowns on 162 carries last season, it’s safe to say that quarterback runs will remain a consistent staple of the Jags’ ground game, whether via predetermined calls, zone reads or RPO’s.
