Ashcraft is the complete package when it comes to TE skillsets with his ability both as a run blocker and a pass catcher. At 6’5” 235 lbs. he’s got the size, length, and movement skills colleges look for at the major D1 level. In an offense like O’Dea’s that is reliant on the run, he’s always been a strong run game blocker. He’s got good leverage and strength at the POA and shows he can drive opponents off the ball with a powerful initial punch. He’s really developed as a pass catcher over his career improving his mobility and open field speed to create separation and flashing sure hands at the catch point. Signed with Wisconsin on early signing day over a variety of P5, G5, and FCS programs.
