Expert Analysis
Tyler Stevens | Prep Redzone Scout
Trestyn is someone who Prep Redzone has been high on since his debut in our rankings. He’s a fluid athlete who has tested 4.4 speed. He’s got size out wide, could put on some weight, but has plus height. He gets out of his release quickly and can get vertical in an instant. He tracks the ball well and is uncatchable in a foot race. Trestyn is someone I see picking up recruiting steam over the offseason with a good showing at camps.

Trestyn had a very good Sophomore season in 2024. His solid play was a bright spot in the 3-9 season of the Hilliard Bradley Jaguars where they advanced to the 2nd round of the playoffs. He lines up on the outside. He is quick off the LOS and uses his very good play speed to get behind the CB on vertical routes. He tracks the ball well in the air and shows good hands as he makes the catch. He is an excellent blocker as he uses his very good play strength and physical toughness as he overpowers CB with ease.

Good downfield speed and acceleration. Shows good hands, eyes the ball and hauls it in on deep passes. Solid burst and take-off.

Pauleus is a bigtime burner for the Jaguars. He has the speed to blow by defenders with ease. His straight-line speed is pretty special. What makes him so hard to defend is that he’s not a one trick pony. Trestyn is also an excellent route runner who has a great attention for detail. He’s explosive in and out of his breaks as he creates massive separation. He’s a hands catcher who catches the ball away from his body. Pauleus’s combination of size, speed, and versatility, I expect him to start to get some big time P4 interests starting this offseason.

Pauleus is a talented receiver who can attack you in a multitude of ways. The first would be his ability to stretch the field vertically. He has easy speed he uses to run by defenders. Once the ball goes up, he attacks it. He has a great feel for leverage and positioning while in his route. When the ball is in the air he has the body control enhance to finish. If you respect his speed, Trestyn is comfortable, breaking off routes and finding open pockets. Because of his speed and verticality is one that I really think could take a huge jump in this his sophomore season!

Trysten played great as a Freshman in 2023 as he played on varsity as well as the Freshman team. He lines up on the outside as a ZWR. He shows good quickness off the LOS as he gets behind the CB on go routes. He shows solid hands as he makes the catch in traffic. Against zone coverage, he shows very good football intelligence as he finds the soft spot in the zone before making the catch for a 1st down. He is a very good blocker as he uses his hands well and exhibits good play strength as he easily blocks the DB and creates a lane for the RB to score.
