The first of the Wolves two-way punch at running back is Trysten Devries as one that I need to update his measurables, as he’s gotten more frame added in the weight room since last update. Talk about an athlete that is explosive in the open field as Trysten can be a significant problem once he gets away from the inside box to the edges of the field. He’s one that I surely like as a stockriser upcoming in this class as I feel the athleticism Trysten has might catch the attention of some college coaches this summer like it’s caught mine. Trysten is also a four-sport athlete for the Wolves as well!

Moving up nearly 10 spots from our last North Dakota 2027 rankings update comes from Watford City athlete Trysten DeVries Trysten DeVries 6'2" | 180 lbs | ATH Watford City | 2027 State ND . I not only am impressed with this young man’s vision he displays in the backfield but the patience he fields strikes a chord with me in his eval with how he can turn those into big chunk plays. He also is one of the better finishers you will find in the backfield from a seperation perspective as the gap between Trysten and the secondary is quite significant and that consistency is no joke. The 6’2 180 pounder is also more a more physical runner than he might get credit for as I love watching this kid’s stiff arm strength in frutition on tape. He’s moved up nearly 10 spots, but could move up even more with a great summer eval.

Trysten is a 2027 athlete out of Watford City that has some interesting game tapes out there. The position value that I like most for Trysten if we look at him next-level, certainly looks like a wide receiver as the 6’2 180 pounder has the long strides and sudden first step to develop into a good route runner with growing on his agile movement. He shows off that agile movement in glimpses on tape and although it shows some solid reps, I can tell there is more is the tank for Trysten in the tank to develop. Could be a mover by next update.
