There might not be a prospect with a higher ceiling in New Jersey’s class of 2027 than Tristin Fitzgerald Tristin Fitzgerald 6'7" | 285 lbs | DL/OL Weequahic | 2027 State NJ . Able to play both sides of the ball, for ranking purposes the Weequahic product is a defensive lineman. Blessed with tremendous size, he uses his length well to bench press opponents away from him, creating separation, in order to locate and pursue the ball. Along with that size, Fitzgerald has raw knock backability. While being a load to handle – mostly due to being an active player that keeps moving and working, keeping all of that coming full throttle, while not stopping – he played 3-tech and is athletic enough to play end as well. One thing that Fitzgerald did exceptionally well on film was getting under his opponents pads where, again, his raw strength was displayed as he established a new line of scrimmage. Hand usage is shown on film, especially the arm over, as he sheds blocks and matches the quarterback’s arm.
