With Newark East Side shuttering their football program last year, Nasir Coleman Nasir Coleman 5'9" | 160 lbs | DB/ATH Weequahic | 2026 State NJ was not without a home for long as he transferred into Weequahic. The adjustment period for Coleman was practically nonexistent as he fit right in as a slot corner – a physical one at that. Film shows us how when, given a clean break, Coleman uses his body with authority to blow up receivers. In a similar fashion, he will wrap when necessary. Knowing how to use his hands well, we see him get hands on and separate from blockers when defending the run, utilizing push/pull techniques well, as if he was a defensive lineman, to set his force run fit. We find those same hands of Coleman’s disrupting the timing and focus of receivers in their route.
