has all the tools to be a serious matchup problem. The 6’3”, 190-pound receiver combines size, strength, and playmaking ability in a way that’s hard to ignore. He wins in multiple ways—high-pointing the ball downfield, using his frame to shield defenders, or sinking his hips to create separation.
He truly shines after the catch. He’s not just a big target; he’s a tough runner with solid speed and elite contact balance. Defenders struggle to bring him down, making him a threat on every play. His stock skyrocketed after a standout performance at the Prep Red Zone camp, where he put himself on the media’s radar in a big way. Since then, his name has been buzzing.
McFadden holds three Ivy League offers from Dartmouth, UPenn, and Columbia, but a Power Five program could come calling with another strong season.

ought to be on your recruiting board. That aforementioned speed (4.59 second 40-yard dash) allowed him to create separation for himself, doing so routinely. McFadden showed us that he can use his body to his advantage, winning by taking his preferred alignment. With at least one known offer at-hand already, it will be interesting to see where McFadden ends up and how he is utilized.

is a prospect that his head coach has been championing for a while now – and for good reason. McFadden is a receiver who high points the ball and uses his hands when doing so. A natural athlete, we see him spin into the leverage of would-be tacklers to gain extra yardage. He does has speed in the open field; however, it is his vision that makes him unique, often cutting completely against the grain for absolutely huge gains McFadden shows a good sense, and variety, of moves when running and when to use them. A few of the moves we have noticed him break loose on are side steps, stutter releases, and moving his upper body to get open. Lastly, McFadden is a very good run blocker who makes a genuine effort to open things up for his teammates along the perimeter and downfield.

is a prospect that Coach Milich has been touting for a while; I, unfortunately, had not heeded his advice until low. McFadden is a prospect that is a well coached and well refined prospect as a junior. As a target he high points the ball well; however, he always seems to know where the defense is, spinning out of their leverage to gain yardage. Further, McFadden seems to have a knack for running in the open field and the vision to find green acreage. At moments I think I see a second gear emerge from McFadden when he possesses the ball. A weapon as the punter is something he might also bring to the table, as McFadden converted a 4th and 12 on a fake punt scramble with him standing at his own 38 yard line for a touchdown. He will use his length and limbs to make his fakes look more dramatic. Another very savvy thing McFadden does is level-up when slicing across a defense, gradually gaining depth and climbing the secondary on long crossing routes. Lastly, I think McFadden might make a tremendous college tight end, as he is a good run blocker who makes a genuine effort to go along with his advanced-for-his-age receiving skills.

If Montgomery wants to continue their reign as the top team in the division, they’ll have to rely on players like

. One of the better young receivers within the division, Trey displayed shiftiness in 2023 as he took the ball and was able to navigate through defenders. While he didn’t put up huge numbers in 2023 (392 yards and 2 touchdowns), there’s reason to believe those numbers could jump dramatically next season.
What I find most impressive in Trey’s game is his playmaking capabilities. Trey really thrives in Montgomery’s offense when his QB releases it to him early on and lets him work his magic. Trey’s YAC are going to jump this season. With the elusiveness and agility that Trey brings to the field, Montgomery is always one play away from a game changing play.

is starting to look like one of the top receivers within his division. A skillful route runner, Trey digs hard into the ground to change directions and can quickly create separation with his elusiveness. As a pass catcher, I am very impressed with his concentration and ability to come down with the ball even when the defender is getting their hands in on it. An extremely talented ball carrier as well, Trey weaves in and out of defense as he makes his way downfield with ease.

Montgomery football has been a beacon of consistency since its inception. Part of that consistency is from raw talent, while another part of that consistency is from buy-in from the players to their program. McFadden could be considered the poster child for this. Entering his sophomore year, McFadden yielded impressive combine stats that included a 107″ broad jump, 4.62 second pro agility, and a 4.75 second 40-yard dash. Relative to his grade-level peers who tested at the AVC Mega Football Camp these numbers totally jumped off the page. Moreover, what I witnessed McFadden do on the field proved he was more than a workout warrior. The wideout ran very clean routes with little wasted movement which culminated in sharp breaks. Understanding how and where the routes are ran was another thing McFadden did well, as well as coming back to the ball if a defender was tightly contesting him.
