Expert Analysis
Jordan Reyes | Prep Redzone Scout
Lux was among the state passing leaders in the 2028 class finishing with 2,800 yards and 29 touchdowns while completing 71% of his throws. 6’1” 190 lbs. he shows good ball placement ability to all areas of the field and doesn’t sacrifice accuracy throwing off different platforms or on the run. He’s a confident passer that’s not afraid to throw into tight windows across the middle or challenge defenders vertically. Like his ability to mix up trajectory and throw with the necessary velocity/touch to make a completion and give his receiver the opportunity to play the ball in the air. Shows he can drive a one ball at the short/intermediate levels or drop it in over the top. Flashes good patience in the pocket to allow the play to develop and for his receivers to gain separation. Sacramento State offered him as a freshman but expected to see a bump in recruitment as he gains more exposure.

Lux is one of the more impressive passers atop the leaderboards across the state in his class and threw for 2,800 yards with 29 touchdowns on the year and is a very mechanically sound thrower with a quick release, tight spiral and very high football IQ when working through his progressions. He has great accuracy downfield when throwing his receivers open, shows he can put nice touch over the top to allow receivers to run underneath the ball and can also put it on a rope over the middle to fit into a tight window. On the run, he shows he can toss it from various platforms and arm angles without losing much zip on the ball and will only to continue to improve mechanically as a passer.

Lux is a very athletic passer and one of the best in the class with still three years left in his prep career. He has good throwing mechanics and arm strength especially for a 2028, and should be taking over the reigns at Great Oak for the 2025 season after making the transfer from Chaparral. He can make off platform throws without losing zip on the ball and shows good ball placement and throw anticipation downfield while able to deliver from various body angles. Look for lux to have a breakout 2025 season and start to see his stock rise.

in action. This young quarterback is already making a name for himself with his impressive skills on the field. He’s got it all – intelligence, a strong arm, excellent footwork, and pinpoint accuracy on his deep ball. Lux’s intelligence is a game-changer. He knows how to read defenses like a pro and make the right decisions in a split second. He’s got the confidence and poise to handle any situation, making him a valuable asset to any team. But it’s not just his smarts that make him stand out. Lux’s arm strength is something to behold. He can make throws that other quarterbacks only dream of, and he’s not afraid to take risks. With his arm, he can make big plays happen and change the course of a game. And when it comes to footwork, Lux is a master. He moves around the pocket with ease, dodging defenders and creating opportunities for himself and his teammates. He’s also accurate on the run, which adds another dimension to his game. But what really sets Lux apart is his accuracy. He can throw the deep ball with precision, hitting his receivers in stride and giving them a chance to make a big play. He’s equally accurate on shorter passes, making him a versatile quarterback who can handle anything that comes his way.
