Torrell has been invited to a Notre Dame camp in the past and also has received an invitation to a regional showcase. However, it is surprising to see the electric playmaker not receive more regional attention. Expect that to change before Torrell’s senior season is finished.
Torrell’s acceleration gets displayed in Las Vegas’ pistol formation when he is asked to run downhill and ends up gliding through traffic in the redzone for touchdowns. Good balance and lateral quickness allow Torrell to evade tacklers in unfavorable one on one situations. Torrell’s vision and good instincts allow him to find paths to green grass when zone runs get disrupted at the point of attack. Elusiveness and creativity in space highlight Torrell’s playmaking ability as a receiving threat in college.
