. Weeks lines up off the edge at defensive end where he has shown some promise as a pass rusher. He explodes out of his stance and has shown the ability to use his strength and high motor to fight straight through blocks on his way to the quarterback. Tj has also shown some impressive pass rusher moves which he uses to defeat blocks with ease. Weeks will be a player worth keeping a close eye on as he continues to develop over the next few years.
Weeks has a big frame and long arms that immediately stand out. He already has good strength and can get after the QB. He’ll get in the backfield and blow plays up. Once he gets free, he does a nice job finishing instead of letting quarterbacks or ball carriers escape. The physical tools are hard to miss, and there are flashes that make you stop and take notice. He’s still putting everything together, but you can see why there’s excitement around him.
TJ Weeks has all the potential to develop into a big-time prospect for the DeSales Colts, where he plays on both sides of the ball. Weeks is a big freshman defensive lineman with long arms and a thick upper and lower half. As an edge, he flashes some juice as a pass rusher; he certainly has the frame and size to be a disruptive player for Mike Jackson’s defense. On offense, he is a mauler in the run game, driving defenders off the ball and creating vertical push. Very good finisher at both spots. Still raw, still learning the game, but playing experience and continued growth make me anxious to see how high he can go.
