Expert Analysis
Michael Huntley | Prep Redzone Scout
Toscano is long, takes a good first step and doesn’t waste any steps. Some extra weight will help him this offseason but the short-area quickness is there and he’s a good hand fighter.

The Norco product is a very under-recruited defensive end that plays the edge well, has a outstanding first step to gain the corner and plays flat down the line while a natural bender and pass rusher with speed and a variety of moves in his toolbox. He shows closing speed and some change of direction and twitch in the open field when re-directing and is very athletic for his size with room to pack on more weight to his frame. In the run game, he can control blockers with his strike and long arms, uses his length well and is a high motor kid that is always around the ball. Toscano can play anywhere along the defensive front but should fit in nicely as a 4-down defensive end in college with plus athletic abilities and speed around the corner. Look for him to be one of the best available edge rushers down the stretch of next season.
