A 6’3″, 200 lb QB who threw for 915 yards and 9 TDs during the 2025 season, Klinge is someone who has previously stood out to me on the camp circuit. His tape shows flashes of brilliance that make him such an appealing prospect (outside of his build). Simply put, the kid can sling it. Klinge does a great job of laying the ball in right over defenders’ heads, and while sometimes those passes are risky, the precision with which he hits those tight windows is incredibly impressive. At its peak, his ball placement is stellar, and he can dice defenses by exploiting the soft spots in zone coverage. Frequently, he places the ball where only a wideout can get it, and his precision seems to only increase in the red zone. I can’t wait to see more of Klinge this offseason.

Klinge is a true 6’3″ 200 lbs, and physically looked closer to some of the college QBs than his high school junior counterparts. He’s the presumed QB1 for St. Paul Como Park Cougars come this fall, and given how he looked on Sunday, there’s a lot to be excited about. The kid can sling the rock. Intermediate routes are where Klinge made his money, but he also showed he could loft deep balls. Klinge has some potential and should be watched closely over his junior and senior seasons.

Standing at 6’3 and 195 lbs, Thomas Klinge Thomas Klinge 6'3" | 215 lbs | QB Como Park | 2027 MN already boasts an impressive frame that should easily see him in the starting lineup for St. Paul Como Park. When I watched him throw the ball, he threw the ball with a high arm extension, being able to extend all the way on his passes. While this isn’t always the most optimal method, especially for a QB his size, it allowed him to hit his targets with excellent ball placement and a quick release. Klinge is primed to take over the starting job for St. Paul Como Park in 2025, which will give him an opportunity to further hone his mechanics and improve his status as one of the most intriguing QB prospects in Minnesota for the Class of 2027.
