Burns erupted onto the scene this season, and was one of the regions most productive runners and put up some big time numbers for Post Falls. He was the leading rusher in 5A this Fall, while the second leading rusher across the entire state and showed his explsiveness out of the backfield with the ability to make big plays out of nothing and be a natural pass catcher out of the backfield.

Burn was able to really light up the stat book this season where he was the leading rusher in the 5A ranks. He is a unique blend of quickness and speed with his ability to really turn the corner and get to the edge of the defense but is also quick enough to defenders miss in space. He has good vision and elite balance that allowed him to set up blockers and bounce off defenders as he ripped off big runs all season. Truly a one of a kind at running back Burns had a monster season.

Burns is have a huge season for Post Falls where he is their leading rusher and a name that many in the 5A are familiar with. He has rushed for 793 yards and 12 touchdowns on the season and does it in a variety of different ways. His ability to hit game breaking plays is what separates him from many of his peers. He is one of those players that everyone holds their breath when he touches the ball as you never know if this is going to be the one that breaks for long yards. He has good speed to go with his ability to cut on a dime and make defenders miss. He may not be the biggest player on the field but has the toughness of a 6′ 200lb back. He is someone on the top over everyones scouting report this season and it would be no shock to see it there every week.

Burns can flat out fly as he is a true speed back and really is dangerous on the edge. Burns is one of the top players returning for Post Falls. Burns has the ability to really grow into the position as one of the top players in the league was in front of him this year but its now his show. As the feature back for Post Falls, Burns will be able to show all he can do for the Trojans this year. As a smaller back he uses his quickness and elite speed to make people miss in the open field. He is hard to take down and would be described as someone who can make you miss in a phonebooth. Burns is going to be in contention for not only another all conference nod but for a player of the year.
